PRESS CONFERENCE SPEECH BY MICHALIS CHARALAMBIDIS

First. What is the difference between me and them here in Athens, in Brussels, in the U.S.A. My friends in Asia Minor were the great Kurdish director Yilmaz Güney. He is the prisoner in Edirne prison, Selahettin Demirtas. He is the Father of Democracy in Asia Minor, Abdullah Öcalan. That's what science says. I nominated him in 1994 in an Athenian newspaper for the Nobel Peace Prize. All of them are the noblest thing Asia Minor has. In my book on The New Eastern Question, I have our shared photos very typical of their nobolity. It is not the wild eye of the Kemalofascist Cem. They are not the indictees at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Hulusi – Tayyip – Bahçeli – Fidan. The women's fighters.
Second. Abdullah Öcalan's place is not in the Turkish gulag, the Turkish prison, the Turkish duvets of Imrali. It is at a European or International Conference that will safeguard the rights of the Kurdish people within the framework of a new State Architecture in Asia Minor. My position is well known. The Kurds are the largest ethnic group in Asia Minor.
Third. European parties across the political spectrum can adopt the usual practice of defending dissidents in former Eastern regimes. In other words, to include the dissidents in their European lists in the upcoming European elections, with the totalitarian racist regime in Ankara. Abulah Öcalan, Selaheddin Demirtas, the great female political figures of the Kurdish nation who are in prison. Look at the faces of these women and compare them with the lumpen fascist face of Axener, the friend of our partners and allies.
Fourth. One question. Does the U.S. want the F-16s to be recorded in the consciousness and memory of the peoples of Asia Minor as the Nazi stukas were recorded in the memory of Guernica, Kandanos, Kalavryta, Kommeno, Chortiatis? My letter to the U.S. Ambassador in Athens in 2008 (On the New Eastern Question...) is useful.
Fifth. The topic for discussion in Greece, Germany, France, Sweden, Europe and the U.S. but also in all democratic countries is: The solution of the Turkish Problem – Humanitarian Europe. That is, the exit from chronic Turkish pathology. In this lie the ideas, the roads, the protagonists of the return of Humanism to Asia Minor. This is the Political Peaceful Road. The humanism of nations, countries, societies, individuals is judged in Asia Minor. These are the values I have served and I serve. This is the expression of a New Humanism.
